Normally baby does not require water seperately. Breast-fed babies get enough water in mother's milk, as well as Bolle-fed babies also get enough water if it is prepared as per instructions given along with baby's formula supplements. In case of severe diarrhoea and dehyration baby has to given enough water, by providing them coconut water, orange juice etc.

You really do not need to give a baby water, in fact if you do they could fill up on the water and not drink breast milk or formula. Please consult with your doctor prior to giving your baby any water.

It's reccomended to use distilled water in the early months of life. No baby should be given plain water due to their kidneys unable to filter it plain.
