What is a deodorerizing spray into my window a/c unit?

When the a/c unit filters air a lot of particles can cluster together on the filter and build up over time. The smell is the mildew from the buildup of the dust and dead skin particles. A deodorizer helps to bring down the smell of the buildup without having to change the filter and freshens outgoing air.

You will probably not get rid of the musty smell with a spray. Instead, you can try replacing the air filter or thoroughly washing the insides.

You might have a A/C tray that needs to be cleaned out. Over time it can accumulate moisture that can leave a musty smell. You could spray Febreeze into the vents but the small will come back. Have your repairman check the A/C unit out before winter comes, you might get the same smell with the heater going.
