Discolouration could be a sign of a fungus that is attacking the nail bed and surrounding skin, causing the nail to change. This is a relatively common problem however if left without treatment the fungus will worsen, so it is advisable to seek treatment as soon as possible.

The most common thing it could be is that you have a fungus in your nails or they are just dry. It is nothing to be really concerned about if they are just dry but if you have a fungus in your nails you should probably see a doctor about it.

Discolored fingernails can have a few causes, one being if a person smokes heavily, the nails can become discolored. There is also a nail fungus that is capable of discoloring nails. Could also be attributed to some type of chemical reaction in the body (perhaps), the first two mentioned are definitely causes of discolored fingernails. Consult your doctor for information.

Discolored fingernails could be a sign of a fungus underneath the nails, or certain vitamin deficiencies can also cause discoloration., such as B12 deficiency.
