Tubal ligation is the suturing off the fallopian tubes so that female ova (eggs) released by the ovaries cannot travel into the uterus, where fertilization and implantation occur. It is more commonly known as "tying your tubes". It is an effective method of contraception (birth control), however like all contraceptions is not 100% effective.

This phrase is the medical language for having you tubes tired. It is a permanat form of birth control, in that having your fallopian tubes cut or tired closed the egg can not get to the place for conception.
