During Queen Victoria's reign there were to wars, the Boer and the Crimean. Also, the second and third Reform Acts were passed. The treaty of Berlin kept the British from entering yet another war and the people of India rebelled against british rule. Queen Victoria had Gold and Diamond Jubilee to celebrate her fiftieth and sixtieth years in reign.

Well, one important thing that happened during this time was the potato famine in Ireland which caused a great influx of poor Irish into the English economy.

She had married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. She became Queen when she was 18. She had 9 children. She grew into a deep depression when her husband died in 1861. She eventually became one of Great Britians most popular monarchs. She was named Empress of India in 1876.
