My dog just sucked on some cotton pads with fairly fresh nail polish remover and I freaked out. I googled it and then I called a pet emergency center nearby. The technician assured me that if he was not showing any oral irritiaion signs, that he was most likely fine:).)

Nail polsih remover is just acetone and it has a tendency to evaporate out. so I feel even if your dags has eaten it he should be probably OK. You can give him some mashed potatoes to isolate the bad stuff and dilute it. Nail polish remover is non-toxic so i feel at the most dog may just have bad stomach.

You will need to take your dog to the VET asap. Nail polish remover is considered a toxin that can kill animals. Stomach pains and labored breathing are some of the first symptoms they will experience. Do not induce vomiting as this can damage their organs.

The chemicals will dissolve the oral tissues, esophagus and stomach lining. Depending on how much is ingested, immediate veterinary care is highly suggested.

Nail polish remover is a known caustic substance, meaning it will eat the dog's inside flesh quickly. If you know your dog has injested it, do NOT induce vomiting.

Suppose a dog eats nail polish remover, first it gives indigestion and after some times it gives a temptation of vomiting and tiredness.
