Pica is a size of font. I would not say that having a font in your child's crib would be dangerous in any way but maybe the ink could rub off and effect them.

The child would have to digest some of the wood. Pica is a disorder that can cause behavioral problem in children, is causes children to eat non-digestible products such as wood, dirt, plaster etc. A wood crib does not create pica. Is the child has pica he may start to chew on the crib.

Only if the crib is really old and has been painted. There is a risk of lead poisoning. There is also risk of wood treatment chemicals, or varnish. If anything else, this is not a good thing, and there is a high risk of splinters. Try not to let your child eat his bed.

Pica can be dangerous for a child especially a newborn and it should not be left in the crib. Most cribs with Pica are very old and should also not be used due to their age. I recommend replacing the crib with a modern one that is more safe for the child.
