After the filling process, normally the bite would not be as before. The teeth would have a blunted end, there by causing abnormality in bite.

Dentist needs to place 'carbon paper' over the new filling and ask you to 'tap-tap-tap your teeth, and grind. ' to mark high points to be ground down.

You should go back to your dentist and have them file down the filling a little bit more. Often a filling is millimeters off and that can be fixed.

You should let your dentist know if your bite is off. They can use articulating paper to check your bite and shape your tooth to fit your bite better. The filling could be a reason that it does not feel the same because it is not your real tooth.

You should definitely go back and see your dentist. He/she should be able to file down the filling just enough so your bite is "equal" again on both sides.
