What happens if you forget to mix the oil with the gas for a 2-cycle engine?

While not much damage is usually done from forgetting to add the oil on the rare occasion, forgetting to often can seriously shorten the life of an engine and cause it to burn out especially with prolonged use.

Not good. If it runs long enough it usually locks up. Usually it revs up real good and you think "boy is this thing tuned up or what". It's actually burning the rings up and scoring the cylinder wall. It might be alright if cut off in time.
