Divorce may cause children to act out and to not behave like they did before the divorce. Divorce can also be extremely confusing for a young child, and can cause them to have problems in other areas of their life, such as school.

If the child is present during disagreements and fights and the spouses speak badly about the other to the chid, the divorce would likely have a very negative impact.

The effects of a divorce on a 5-year old child could be unimaginable and no compensation would be sufficient as regards the emotional feelings of the child. It may affect the studies of the child even.
