This probably means that the dog has liver problems. It is the same as on a human. If the dog is showing other signs of sickness, you should take them to the vet as soon as possible.

Yellow skin on an mammal is usually a sign jaundice. If a dog has yellow skin, it most likely means that the dog is experiencing some form of problem with its liver function.

Like humans, the skin of the dog turns yellow if he has liver problems. This results from increased levels of bilirubin in the body, which is one of the by-products of a RBC protein. You should get him to the vet ASAP so that his illness can be diagnosed.
