The formula Na2CO3 forms Sodium Carbonate. It is a base and is thus widely used as a water softener. Sodium Carbonate is also used in making glass, to neutralize excess chlorine in pools, and for some taxidermy processes. The formula calls for two parts sodium (Na), one part carbon (C), and three parts oxygen (O).

You probably mean Na2CO3, which is Sodium Carbonate, otherwise known as "washing soda", a basic form of laundry cleaner. It softens water and is used in the production of glass.
