This depends on the color of the blood. If it is bright red, this could be a sign of hemorrhoids or an anal fissure or some sort of tearing within the lower intestine. If it is dark red and almost a coffess consistency, this could be a symptom of internal bleeding and possibly colon cancer.

Red blood in stool could be from bleeding hemorrhoids, or bleeding ulcers. Or a variety of many other conditions. You should consult a physician to find out the true reason.

It could be caused from multiple things you need to get into the doctor it could be a sign of rectal tumors and they can be treated if caught early.
