More than likely this would have something to do with your blood pressure. If you have a pierced ear,it could be caused by a infection of that ear. If the ear is not causing you physical discomfort then you do not need to rush to a emergency room. Ask your doctor about it on your next appointment or check up.

Ear can get hot because of blood pressure or some inflammations. Besides these, a person sometimes experiences flushes anywhere on his body though it is not a matter of much concern.

There are many possibilities why your ear may turn hot and red. Some possibilities include: high blood pressure, skin damage due to frostbite at one time, inflammation, infection, food allergy, etc. If it happens often I would recommend getting it checked out.

Usually, it just means you are hot. The ear feels hot because your body is increasing blood flow to the skin to shed heat.
