If someone is experiencing lethargy after a meal then they are most likely not eating enough enzyme rich foods. In today's fast food world processed food is designed for long shelf but it cannot break down in the body. The fewer enzymes in food, the longer the food will last, the harder it is to digest and absorb its nutrients.

The tiredness could be caused by overeating carbohydrates, for example too much bread, mashed potatoes, pasta, macaroni, that sort of thing. You could also be eating some things that you are allergic too. You could get tested by an allergist if that is the case to find out.

A person usually ate too many carbohydrates, and became too full. If the body does not use the energy obtained from the carbs, then it stores as fat.
