What does it mean that the technician wrote down that I have a large uterus when she was doing my ultrasound?

She said she couldn't discuss anything with me and that all the info would be sent to my doctor.

Uterus is the area where the unborn baby is going to be housed. There are no ill-health effects to your health if you have a large uterus.

An enlarged uterus can be caused by many different conditions including pregnancy. If the patient is not pregnant, the most common reason for an enlarged uterus are the presence of uterine fibroids. Although rare, another possible cause of uterine enlargement is uterine cancer.

A large uterus on its own could well means that your womb is large as a result of previous pregnancy. However there are many other possible reasons for it which include fibroids within the uterus, tumour or malignant cancer, infection or the pregnancy itself. You should consult your doctor to clarify the matter.
