Lymhoproliferative disorders will give a typical blood picture of markedly elevated lymphocyte count with decrease in all other cell lineages like neutrophil, monocytes,,platelets, erythrocytes etc. Immunohistochemical studies will confirm presence or absence of lymphoma. Other causes of raised lymphocytes like tuberculosis should also be ruled out[neutrophils and monocytes are usually normal here].

It could indicate leukemia depending on how low and high the tests were. Also if you have had some type of infection or trauma such as a fracture, this could temporarily account for those results. If you have not had a specific traumatic event recently the next step is a hematologist.
