In old fashioned traditional marriage, you are not supposed to have sex, or sleep together, before you are married. So, if you disobey this tradition and have sex before marriage, then technically speaking your marriage bed would be considered 'defiled', and if you are loyal to these traditions it would be considered 'NOT defiled'.

It means that the marriage has not be consumated and is not considered legal according to most religions and believes. Some would say that it is grounds for divorce or seperation.
