What does chkdsk on system error mean?

I keep getting chkdsk error system message.

You need to check the cable which connects the hard disk of the computer to the mother board, if the connection is faulty, change the cable. After changing the cable if the error comes again, probably the hard disk has gone bad due to aging or mishandling (crashing)and you will need to change the disk

There could be two things that could happen: Your hard disk has some inproper sectors that have to be isolated or the fielsystem is not in a proper state. Try to boot your system with ubuntu, mount all drives and shut ubuntu down properly. Then restart windows.

I have windows XP with flyakite osx installed, no other OS's present, im thinkin the FS (file system) error has come from where vista used a secret partition we removed (vista was the OS installed when we got pc, secret partition contained drivers, etc)
