There are many possible causes, many of which do not lead to permanent fertility issues. Work with your doctor to determine what has caused your specific case.

An enlarged ovary can be an inherited & benign condition, the result of a cyst, a side effect of endometriosis or from another condition. Depending on the cause, it may not affect your fertility - contact your OB/GYN for an appointment to find out the cause.

If you have one ovary larger that the other that means that your life style is not so healthy and quickly you must change something for you not to be in the position of having to worry about inability to have children. Nothing serious now but obviously you must change something.

A enlarged left ovary means there are cysts present. Cysts of the ovary are often benign, which means non cancerous. Cysts sometimes form as a part of the normal menstrual cycle. Sometimes the cysts are not benign. There are other test that the doctor can perform to make sure that it is not cancerous.

Having an enlarged ovary can be the result of many things, inflammation to PCOS. This alone is no indication that you will not be able to have children.

I have one enlarged ovary since my first pregnancy and I now have 6 children. One was removed when I was born due to a cyst (size of orange). I couldn't breath because of the size and nearly died but that was 30 years ago.
