A blood serum level of less than 5 considered negative and anything above 25 positive for pregnancy. Because your period is already about a month late and your serum hcg level is so close to what a positive reading is it woud be wise to have the test repeated in a few day or a week.

That HCG result indicates early pregnancy. Anything over 5 for this hormone indicates pregnancy, so you may assume that you are in fact pregnant. Once the embryo has implanted in your uterus, it secretes HCG. HCG is elevated during pregnancy, and may rise to over 100,000 during the third trimester of pregnancy.

HCG is short for human chorionic gonadotropin: it is the hormone that is measured to see if you are pregnant. Levels in non-pregnant women are essentially zero. Therefore, congratulations are in order! It appears that you are pregnant. The reference range for HCG from 1-3 weeks of gestation is 5-50.

Normal HCG levels for being 3 weeks pregnant can be between 5 - 50 mIU/ml. If you think you are further pregnant than this, a miscarriage is likely going to happen.

Your hcg result could indicate that you are pregnant. you should retake the test to see if there's an increase. Or, contact your docter to discuss your test.

It means you are pregnant, congratulations. Go see a doctor as soon as possible to get on prenatal vitamins and make sure you take care of yourself. Which includes refraining from drinking alochol, smoking and a reduction in caffeine intake. You may notice that you will soon have food aversions and become very sleepy.
