Pregnant fish do not look like humans because fish usually lay eggs and then the male fish sperm on the eggs. Unlike the pregnancy that humans experience, fish do not get fat or even for that matter pregnant like humans. They have a completely different way of creating new life than we do.

A pregnant fish will get bloated in the stomach. She will also spend most of her time in the gravel hiding behind something for cover. That is where she will give birth or lay her eggs depending on the type of fish it is.
