In the wild, the peregrine falcon mainly feeds on pigeons and other birds. The peregrine catches its prey using various hunting techniques which includes a high speed dive or stoop where it may fly at speeds over 180mph.
The main prey of the peregrine falcon are birds such as ducks, pigeons and songbirds. They generally catch these birds in a dive and kill them themselves.
