What does a man want from his relationship when he is going through depression?

If he isn't getting help, I would suggest it. If he truly is suffering from depression, he needs to talk to a professional and/or get medication.

A man needs to know that you care about him and that you still think he's great. Right now he is doubting himself. Remind him how amazing he is.

Sorry to say he doesn't want anything when he is going through depression. He is in a different frame of mind and wants to be left alone. The best thing you can do for him is to get him to a doctor for an examination. This could get worse.

As with anyone dealing with depression, simply be there for him. Let him know you are there if he needs you.
