Unless you are an extremely serious golfer, buy pre-owned clubs. As long as you feel comfortable this is a great way to save and it won't affect your game.

Pre-owned golf clubs may be high quality and just as good as buying a new set out of the box. Unless you are fitted for clubs, neither new nor used clubs will have been matched in weight, shaft flex, or blade angle to your swing.

Preowned golf clubs are a good deal if you are starting out and want a nice set without paying top price. Make sure to get a set that fits your physique. Try them out at the range before committing to make sure they fit your swing.

Buying pre-owned golf clubs is only good if you do not play much. If you play more than twice a week, or play scratch golf, buy new.
