I must advise you that keeping an adult wild animal as a pet is never a good idea. Especially rabbits. They can get over excited and die of a heart attack. Though, wild rabbits eat vegetation. Like clover, grasses, vegetables, and barks from trees.

You should let it go. Rabbits captured from the wild have a hard time being trained to live in captivity. A lot of them end up dying. Rabbits in the wild eat things like leaves and fruits.

90% of wild rabbits diet is grass. They also like dandilion greens. Wild rabbits are vegetarians and love to visit vegetable gardens. They like fresh fruit and strawberries are a garden favorite. Rabbits in the country like to eat hay. You can also purchase wild rabbit food to keep them out of your garden.

Wild rabbits should be happy eating alfalfa straw, carrots, and food that pet rabbits eat. The straw would be healthy for them as well. There are other kinds of straw in pet food stores. And you can always ask at the stores.
