A pigeon nest is usually constructed with small twigs and located on covered building ledges that resemble cliffs, a Rock Dove's natural habitat. The male brings the nesting material to his mate, one piece at a time and she builds the nest, usually well-hidden and hard to find. My pigeons make thier nests out of hay or sticks.

Pigeons do not necessarily nest on your building. The fly around during the day from pigeion coups all around the city and return home at night to their lofts for food like mine do. They use twigs, straw, and other bits to make nests in the wild.
