Piercings have long lost the biker, gypsy, or pirate stigma, and yet there seems to be a new wave of questions on how to remove scar tissue from excessive piercings, which sugests that piercings may say that you do not plan for the long term but look at temporary fashion statements as more important than long term benefits.

Ear and nose piercings in guys are usually just a sign of some adventure and a desire to be noticed. Piercings in the lip, eyelids, navel are either an extreme fashion statement or show an extreme desire to show oneself as adventurous. Nipple piercings are sexually aggressive symbols.

I think it depends on who is looking at the person with piercings. I personally love people with piercings and think it makes them more attractive. However, if they have piercings all over thier face, that could say that are not that serious.

Well a few piercings are ok in my book, but when you start having them all over your face it looks bad. You will have a hard time getting a good job and some places will make you take them out and cover them.

Piercing are a sign of profound personal uncertainty and confusion. If god wanted us to have metal pieces through body parts he would have given them to us at birth.
