This can mean that the obstruction is either going to require surgery or it may pass through the intestinal tract. Usually it depends on what the dog ate that is blocking his intestinal tract. If he ate a sock it may or may not pass through. If it was a bone it may not pass.

Intestinal blockage is normally a medical emergency,so there is possibly partial blockage right now.You should probably expect to bring him again again for treatment soon.

Dogs get intestinal blockages easily because they don't care what they eat and they swallow all kinds of foreign objects that can't or wont pass through the intestines, result, blockages.

I know that intestinal blockage can lead to bloating and possibly rupturing of the intestine. This can be corrected with surgery or medicine.

An intestinal blockage is just as it sounds, a blockage of the intestines. This can lead to system poisoning due a back-up of fecal matter, so most time surgery is needed to remove the blockage. IT could possibly be something foreign that your dog ingested.

Common signs are vomiting, loss of appetite and trouble with defacating. You should take your dog to a Vet right away. He will either induce vomiting, or may perform surgery.
