If you are doing an intervention to help a friend or family member, ask several of the people closest to the person in need to write down why that person is important to them and why they must get help. You might want to ask a therapist for input or if they would be willing to help after the intervention.

Find an organization that can help your loved one, such as a rehabilitation center for a drug addict. You can take them directly there or refer them there if they choose to accept your help. Gather family and friends together and refuse to enable your loved ones habits any further.

If someone hosted an intervention for you, I'm sure it was out of love and concern for your safety. Consider professional help, such as rehab or meetings.

If you are having one for someone else you should get their close family and friends who think this person has a problem together, tell the person he's got problems.
