Before you tighten belt, make sure you turn the washer off by disconnection the washer. Get to the belt behind the washer. Tighten the nut. Tightening the belt to tight will cause it to break.
You can tighten it yourself. There should be a removeable panel in the back or underneath where you can access the belt. From there, tightening should be easy.
