If you can find the spot where your dog was stung apply a paste of baking powder and water. Then give your dog Benadryl 2-3 times daily. A dose of 25mg is recommended for a dog from 20-30 pounds. If you notice any swelling take the dog to your vet.

If you rub the area with vinegar it will help neutralize the sting and relieve some of the pain. Make sure the dog does not scratch it to cause an open sore. Contact vet and ask him what meds can be given for pain. Do not give aspirin to dogs as it is toxic and may result in death.

You can mix baking soda with water to make a paste. You then cover the sting in the paste and let it dry. This sucks the venom out.

Try giving your dog benadryl, it will help with the swelling. If your dog is in a lot of pain you might want to call your vet and see if pain medicine can be prescribed.

The first step would be to remove the stinger. You can then use 1 tablespoon of baking soda to create a paste and dab on the site of the sting.

Remove the stingers if you can see them and are able to get them out. Then I would suggest giving him some Benadryl so that he can rest.

The main thing is to treat the reaction that a sting might cause. Contact your veterinarian to determine what medication is appropriate and amount for your dog's breed.
