The ID number that it starts with depends on the make and model of the Ford that your are driving. But will begin with either a one, four, or five when made in the United States. The second VIN digit on a Ford will be the letter 'F' this is true for all Fords.

The first number will be 1-5 if it's from the USA, Canada, or Mexico. The second character should be an "F" is what indicates it as a Ford.
