Children have may accidents in childhood. You should take the child to the dentist and have it looked at. Depending on the size of the chip, the dentist might just either smooth it down or fix it. A xray will determine if the tooth is still vital.

If it is a baby tooth and is not causing her any pain, there is little need to seek treatment. It is mostly a cosmetic issue. However, if the tooth hurts or it is not a permament tooth, please go to a dentist for treatment.

You are not worrying too much but you should take her to the dentist. A chipped tooth can decay very quickly.

She should probably see a dentist to prevent further damage to the tooth from chewing, especially if the edge is very rough and/or it is a permanent tooth. They can smooth the edges out or fill it if needed.
