dental care

Question by  Kirthi (20)

What do baby cavities look like?

Answer by  stacykylemark (342)

They look just like cavities in adult teeth. They can show up as brown or black areas on the teeth. If your child has suspicious areas, get them checked out. Decay, even on baby teeth, can be painful and if left untreated could cause infection in the mouth. Never send you baby to bed with a bottle.

Cavities in baby teeth are similar to those in adult teeth. However, for babies, it is more likely to occur between teeth than on top of them.

Baby cavities look just like adult cavities. They are usually brown or black in color and that is the decay on the surface of the tooth that you can see very easily.
