What design looks good as an ankle tattoo?

I think circular designs look best. For example, a sun. Most importantly, you should have a strong connection to the object! I also like celtic knots on ankles. You could also try something in a semi circular pattern, like a dolphin, quarter moon, rainbow. I also met someone who had the converse symbol on the inside of the ankle.

For females, I think vines and flowers look the best! For males, nothing, I don't ankle tattoos aren't very appealing! Unless they don't wrap around, then try a symbol that has some meaning to you.

The barbed wire or chain tattoo is popular where I live. A heart or some kind of flower looks good also.

Designs that wrap up and down the ankle or designs that wrap around the ankle look best. Remember though, tattoos are permanent!
