What could cause sudden nausea?

Everything was fine and then I felt this sudden nausea.

Usually the flu comes on pretty quickly, but it could also be something you ate. Nausea caould also be a sign of pregnancy.

You don't mention your gender, but if you are female and of child-bearing age, you could be pregnant. If that is not a possibility, it could be the stomach flu, food poisoning, influenza, migraines, or even a reaction to a perfume or other scent. Some people have very strong reactions to new odors.

Sudden onset of nausea could be caused by several things. If you had recently eaten it could be food poisoning. It could also be a stomach virus or pregnancy.

Nausea is the state that precedes vomiting. The cause of nausea may be due to anastesia, Chemotherapy, Radiation, Food poisoining etc...
