What could cause a 3.1 liter Buick Regal engine hesitation?

There are several reasons that it COULD be. One of course being bad gas. Another could be the MAP sensor. That can cause a multitude of problems with newer cars.

Many things could cause hesitation. The main one would be cloged fuel injectors. Others could be a vacuum leak, wet ignition components, fouled spark plugs or a worn ignition cap or rotor. Run a bottle of injector cleaner through with the next fuel fill up and see if that takes care of the problem.

May need a good tune up. Check all vacuum lines as well as air filter. Change plugs, wires and change fuel filter. Check charging system for proper voltage.
