If your dryer keeps going out, the burner coils could be non-functioning or there could be a clog in the gas line or the limit switches could have quit working.

Most likely this would be because there is a gas flow problem. There could be a clog in the gas line or the hose behind the dryer could be bent.

Maybe the filter needs to be cleaned out. Or it maybe be cutting its self off because it gets too hot from being on for a long period of time.

If the dryer burner pilot light keeps going out you may need to have a repair done and replace the burner.

If your dryer doesn't dry the first time you turn it on, you may have a burnt out temperature relay or sensor, or both. It is very simple to replace these, and costs about $80 for the combination. It is just a matter of unscrewing the back, unhooking the wires, changing the parts, and putting it back together.

If you are having difficulty keeping your gas dryer burner lit your coil valves may be going bad or you may have a malfunctioning thermostat.

The burner on your dryer has a thermostat which turns it on and off as needed to keep the temperature steady as selected. The thermostat has a thermocouple in in which may need to be replaced.
