What could be wrong if Internet Explorer won't open and it keeps telling me to choose program?

There must be some virus infection on your computer or some file may have been deleted accidentally. Try to scan your computer for viruses. You may reinstall it from the internet. Try upgrading to internet explorer 8. It is the latest version released by microsoft. It has less bugs than the previous versions.

Your Internet Explorer may be corrupted. You should try to re-install it to see if the problem will go away.

It means that Internet Explorer is not installed in your computer anymore. I would download Firefox because it works a lot better!

Most likely your program association is incorrect and the file being opened is not associated with the web brower or any other program. You need to associate the type of files with Internet Explorer.
