If the cramps are not regular, then no, you're probably not in labour. Your body is practicing for the real thing. These practice contractions are called Braxton-Hicks contractions and usually go away after a short period of time. You'll feel a tightening of the stomache similar to a menstrual cramp. Check with your doctor to be safe.

At about this time, the uterus starts 'exercising' so to speak by performing what are known as Braxton-Hicks contractions. They're not as intense as actual labour contractions and do feel like hard menstrual cramps. The round ligaments are also stretching and Baby is turning into position and beginning to drop which can feel like menstrual type back pain.

Cramping while pregnant can indicate preterm labor - especially at 33 weeks along. You should try drinking water to make sure you are not dehydrated and then call the doctor.

It's possible that you could be in labor, but it might also be Braxton-Hicks contractions. Many women experience these contractions while pregnant. Contact your doctor for an exam just to be sure!

I think that you are slowly dilating and the baby is just getting ready for the labor. The baby's head is probably starting to go down and it is putting pressure on you.

You might be going into labor a little early, but it's probably what's called Braxton Hicks, which are contractions that occur before true labor. They're uncomfortable but aren't painful. Labor contractions get closer together and more intense but these do not. Best to call your doctor.
