What could be the cause if my eye doctor found scar tissue in my eye?

This is probably the result of an old eye injury, such as being poked or struck while playing sports. The other possibility is some sort of disease or eye infection (which could have been resolved long ago, but left scar tissue).

An old injury or virus could leave the scar tissue. If vision is not compromised no treatment is in order.

Scar tissue on your eyes might be due to vitreous (gel-like substance which helps in maintaining the round shape) detachment, ageing, disorders of retina caused by diabetes, eye injury and inflammation of eyes. Your ophthalmologist will provide you the best solution.

There may be some problem on your retina which can be detected by conducting angeogram of eyes and can be cured by Lacer Treatment. Continue the advise of your Ophthalmologist.

You may have had tiny little ulcers that are common in contact lenses users. If you do wear contacts, make sure you are not over-using them, my advice.
