What could be causing the sharp pain in my left shoulder blade?

I was recently in an auto accident, but suffered no serious injuries. For the past few weeks I've had this sharp pain, however.

You may be experiencing myofascial pain, or commonly known as muscle pain. You may also be experiencing shoulder bursitis or have a rotator cuff strain/tear. Consult with your primary care physician, chiropractor, or physical therapist. They will be able to examine the area and best diagnose your condition.

Any injury to muscles and deep tissues should be considered serious enough to warrant a medical screen. The rotator cuff in the shoulder could be the cause of spasms, pain.

In your shoulder blade you have a joint and when you got into your auto accident you could have injured that joint or strained it in some way.
