You could have a pimple or cyst on the scrotum, inspect the area carefully. Most likely you caused a minor injury to the testicle by squeezing or other movement. If the pain continues for longer than one hour you need to see a doctor to rule out testicle torsion.

A torsion would cause pain in the testicle, a torsion is when the blood supply to a testicle is cut off. A doctor should be consulted as a prolonged torsion can cause the death of the testicle. If the torsion does not untwist it can be corrected through surgery.
