What could be a cause of my auto using too much gas?

It could be attributed to a lousy fule pump that's in need of replacing. A fuel filter could also be the cause of the problem also.

1. A leak in the gas hose or gas tank. 2. Your pistons or spark plugs are firing at the wrong time, making it inefficient and thus need more gas to go a specific distance 3. Leaky hoses in the transmission. 4. A gas cap that does not create an air tight seal, allowing gas to evaporate
