What could a knot in your leg mean?

I have this hard knot behind my knee.

It could be circulation problems with a vein. There could be fluid retention behind the knee or damage to the knee.

This could be a sist or clot. You should consult a doctor about this. It could be serious. A sist could be cancerous and would have to be removed for further testings. If it's a clot they would have to go in and try to see what is causing your blood to clot together rather than cycling through.

Your physician can diagnose this. It could be as simple as a fluid-filled cyst (called a Baker's cyst) which can be drained. This "knot" could also be something more serious such as a blood clot, aneurysm of a blood vessel or a torn ligament.
