For a nice fresh look, i would paint the pine paneling a nice white. It does not have to be a bright white, it can be an off white or cream color as well. The white will certainly brighten up any room or living area, and will be a great change.

This is really just a matter of personal taste. Once primed properly, pine paneling can be painted using any color. For a cleaner look, a basic off-white or swiss coffee will do the trick. If you want to maintain the feeling of natural wood, use neutral tones that lean towards the side of yellow.

Neutral colors such as tans, browns or grays are best because they can co-ordinate with any accent colors in the room.

Color choice should really be based on your personal opinion. That being said, I feel that paneling. if painted, looks best in off white, and lighter colors that can mask some of the inherent flaws the paneling has. Dark colors tend to make a room look smaller, and should be used only as accents to avoid this.

Well I guess that would depend on what colors the rest of your decor is. You could always try stain this will bring out the natural color of the wood.

This is a cheaper wood. Do not care about wood structure than you can use any color what you like. If your panels are vertically, use lighter color of paint. For horizontally panels you can use darker colors.

Get into your car, or walk down to home depot and speak with someone in the paint department. Someone there should be able to help you out further. If they dont know the anwser, ask someone else.
