Stomach cramps are a common complaint amongst runners. There are a number of possible reasons for a runner getting cramps, including having tight muscles in the stomach region. Some runners believe that if they have something substantial to eat or have a lot of water before running, they will get cramps.

It's either you are not breathing properly, you have a pulled muscle, or you have to much food or water in your system.

These cramps come from being dehydrated when you run. What you want to do is hydrate well before you run.

Stomach cramps during physical activity are often the result of a lack of blood flow. Specifically, as you jog your body shifts blood flow from your stomach to the muscles in your legs. For some people, this results in cramps because your gastrointestinal system no longer has the oxygen required to properly process food.
