What can you tell me about Wisp Ski Resort in Maryland?

I live in Indiana and I've only ever skied out West.

Wisp Resort is fantastic. While the mountains are not as big as out west, there are still some very challenging trails for the more experienced skier. There are also many beautiful easier trails .

You might be a little disappointed. It's in the mountains in Maryland so it's got some snow, but most resorts in the mid-Atlantic have to also use fake snow. Also with the conditions in the area you're more likely to get icy conditions. We don't get as much powder as you do in the West.

There's no such thing as 'fake snow'. It's machine made snow that is made from the same ingredients as 'mother nature made snow': water & air. Wisp had 263" of snow LY which was more snowfall than many resorts out West. There's snow tubing, mountain coaster & new canopy tour. add a comment

I think it's a very beautiful place, they have a golf course, child activities, skying, a complete spa and many fishing sites.
