Baytril injection is commonly used as it is found safe in birds. Intra muscle injections are found to cause an irritation in birds, for a day. If used for long time, it is found that it reduces the bacteria in stomach. It may make the bird more suseptible to infections.

Baytril is generally safe for birds, though a few birds may show an allergic reaction. Baytril should only be given by a vet, however, so consult with him or her.

Baytril treats a wide range of bacterial infections in birds. Don"t give to birds that a human might consume as food or eggs (chickens, quail) Give it to the bird in it's water, however, some say it tastes so bad that the bird won't drink water afterward.
